"Angel in the Hood" profiles two troubled Latina teens from a violent, gang-infested section of Los Angeles, struggling with the lure of gang life, drug addiction and abusive homes. Ashley, now 18, and Noemi, now 19, reveal that for the last several years--their inspiration, their role model, and their most constant and trusted companion--has been Peter Pan's feisty sidekick--"Tinker Bell."
